How do we secure ‘the future of Swedish competitiveness’ in space?
A roundtable discussion inspired by the (space-related) conclusions from the "Draghi report"
Sweden has a strong tradition in space technology. But as global investments in “space-as-a-service” capabilities are accelerating and new commercial players are emerging in countries all around the world, Sweden must adapt and evolve in order to ensure future competitiveness. This roundtable brings together thought leaders from the Swedish space industry and government entities involved in space-related policymaking, procurement and operations to explore what’s needed to secure our long-term competitiveness — and enable Sweden to become a driving force in the NewSpace economy.
Some of the questions that will be discussed:
- How should the (space-related) conclusions of the Draghi report be interpreted, from a Swedish perspective?
- What big picture approach should be taken to improve Sweden’s competitiveness in space going forward?
- Looking ahead, what concrete actions would make the biggest difference for Sweden’s future in space?
- What role should public investments and national strategies play in strengthening Sweden’s position?
- How can we attract and retain the talent needed to scale a sustainable and competitive space sector?
