Reimagining Industrial Innovation: Games, Tech and the Future of Ecosystems
The country holds global strengths in advanced manufacturing, immersive tech, and public research – yet collaborations across these domains are still rare, fragile or locked in project silos.
This Circle explores how we can unlock the full potential of industrial innovation ecosystems by bringing together unlikely or unfamiliar allies – from game studios to engineering giants, from researchers to immersive tech startups.
Circle Series is where the future gets built. This forum brings together visionary leaders from across the creative industries, industrial R&D, emerging tech, science parks and policy to explore how Sweden can build more dynamic, resilient and internationally relevant innovation systems that promote long-term sustainable technology advances.
In these sessions, participants will examine how we move from isolated excellence to shared value creation - and what types of infrastructure, mindset and governance models are needed to make cross-sector innovation truly work.
We’ll focus on three key areas:
- From pilots to platforms
How can testbeds, IP frameworks and funding models evolve to support long-term, scalable innovation across sectors? - Talent & convergence
What kinds of hybrid skillsets – combining creativity, engineering, systems thinking and user insight – are needed to shape the next generation of innovation? - Building bridges, not buzzwords
What structural barriers stand in the way of collaboration between creative tech, industry and research – and how can we design past them and/or influence changing them?
